Knocked Up!

I got Knocked Up Today!

Okay, this movie is probably the funniest thing I've seen in a really really really long time. If you don't mind a lot of the F word (which I don't), I would totally recommend it! It was really funny and cute about relationships and the crazy things we all do and think.

I was more than annoyed on a few occassions that ugly doofus (pictured above) totally scored with the hot chick. Even his endearing qualities later on in the movie never quite made up for it to me. You're pretty much scarred for life after seeing the hiney early on. No recovering from that sick view! But the laughs in this movie far outweigh the fact that you know that this guy (and all his loser buddies) smells in real life! Haha...6 thumbs up!

News from the golf course

THE MONEY SHOT! Shawn's hole in one!!!
(Hole #6, Par 4!)

The legends and pictures continue. I shot a 49 on a 33 course! Normally I would be upset that I scored so poorly, but I did it in peep toe heels! There's gotta be a handicap for that! Plus I had a lot of heckling from "The Temp".
My 4-some consisted of:
Myself (O Captain, my captain), Susan (The Ringer), Shawn (In the Hole), Mike (Be the Ball)
Some more pictures of fun around the office:

Shawn showing off his man bag.
The Temp was coveting the man bag.

Mike's perfect form
Shawn and his -
BIG DRIVER *ahem*
Dan getting some love from the beer girl
- Sarah Michelle *SWOON*

FOUR!!!!!!!!!!

Somedays, can I just say that I REALLY love my job! Today is one of those days! The "Boys" are out at a company golf tournament today - so one of the managers is throwing a golf tournament inside the office for us. I arrived to work this morning (amazingly ontime for once) to find the tools I'll need to successfully participate.

The Golf Bag!

The office map

The scorecard (Note who's Captain baby!!!)

First of all - don't you love that someone actually got paid a salary to work on this all week!? I know I do! The office is decorated with actual "Greens", etc. It's really fun. I'll keep you posted on the scores! I think my team is the most fun, not sure how GOOD we'll be though....I don't even care because today - I'm also wearing:

A VISOR!!!!

Squished Slytherin

Tonight on the bike ride down the good 'ole Jordan River Parkway, I nearly ran over a snake. Only by the narrowest margin did it escape its' death by front tire. While I don't like snakes, I probably still would've cried because I killed it. Plus what if the squish juices splashed my leg or something!!! GROSS!!!

Anyway, the trail was fun, the weather was great. One day soon, I think we'll hit a REAL trail. Although today Melissa had tire technical difficulty - so it wouldn't have been the greatest of ideas.

Hold Times....

Right now I am sitting at my desk waiting on hold for the blasted web hosting company we use for our company website. When this process started I was caller 28 and my hold time was 38 minutes. Now, I'm caller 14 and my hold time is 31 minutes. How is that even possible? I'm sure I could submit a "trouble ticket" online, but I just don't feel like it would get handled as quickly. Especially if this many people are waiting on hold as well. Trickery!

I would love it if companies put some rockin' music on and just let you listen! What would I care how long I had to hold if I got to sing along with some Styx or Journey! This company opted for an Enya type thing that is interrupted every 2 seconds to tell you your status of hold. That's actually more annoying that just straight music in my humble opinion!

....ooh! Now I'm 13! haha.
I might still be here tomorrow at this rate! Good thing it's only Monday!

Tiny Beijing

Tiny Beijing is an inside joke with my brother Jake. This girl he knew went to China and brought him back a t-shirt that was had some slogan for the Beijing Olympics and the rings and all that on it. She bought him a shirt that was "normal" size Medium...only when she got it back and Jake put it on, it was like a belly shirt on him. Apparently Chinese Medium is not that same as my 6'2'' brother Jake Medium. It was funny. He still wore it, mostly to get jokes, but now anything tiny is called Tiny Beijing. Now everyone reading this has been initiated into the Harker Family.

Keeping with this topic, Melissa and I went to Kneaders on Friday before our film Raider's of the Lost Arc. Every week in the summer they show a different film outside in a park after the sun goes down. (Reminds me of Felicity *sigh*). When we were at Kneaders there was this car parked outside.
I'm all for environmentally friendly cars, but this seems a little ridiculous. There were 2 seats ONLY. ZERO trunk space and I swear this was the entire car. No doctoring of photo has occurred. I'm expecting to read up on the car stating that it also runs on Saki. Now that really would be a Tiny Beijing!

I wish my eyeball was a camera lens

Sometimes don't you wish you could just always have one eyeball be a camera? You see things, but know that by the time you fished your camera out of your bag, the moment would be gone.

Today on my lunch, I was lucky enough to be able to catch one said incident.
This guy Dan that I work with was already taking his lunch break when I left for mine. I walk outside into the sunshine to find Mistah Daniel (as I call him, said with Chinese accent of course!) sitting on a lawn charin on the asphalt "fishing". haha. No care in the world, casting and everything! It was hilarious! I asked permission to take the following picture! The plus side of this is that I'm going to take lunches with him and he's going to teach me to fly fish! Get me some waders - I'm ready for the river!
