My new toothbrush!

I went to bed with gum in my mouth....
....and now there's gum in my hair!
Just kidding but for some reason that line from Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day is in my head. Maybe I'll move to Australia.
If you don't know that book it's a pretty funny kids book. I like it. It's about this kid in a family with a lot of kids and how he gets shit on all day. Haha.
Today I actually feel kinda BLEH. I don't know what my deal is! I had a 3 day weekend which was fantastic! I rested a lot, got a lot done, went on 2 (count them...two!) bike rides. Today my hair is even curly and sassy which usually makes me feel like taking over the world! Still...nothing. Although my new turquoise necklace is pretty great! Disregard the fact that I look kinda cross-eyed...or high on drugs (not ruling either out)! Anyway, I'm getting very excited for our upcoming trip this weekend. Holly will be coming to hang out with us on Saturday and that'll be super fun! I gotta get outta Dodge for a bit!

Ultimate Road Trip CD
Alright -
So Melissa is turning 30 in just over one week. We are planning a trip to Mesquite, NV for a day of laying by the pool, followed by a morning of massage, and then some more laying by the pool! Very exciting. We are each on the mission to make a Road Trip CD, and since I have the blog (and she just posts random comments) I get to solicit suggestions from friends as to what will make it on the CD.
Holly, we hope you can make it to hang out with us. If not, we completely understand - but we'd love to see you!

Attention CardMakers!
The company that I work for is having a contest for World Card Making Day! If you're interested, please read below and submit to the email address provided. No special treatment will be given, just because you know me! (haha!) Good Luck!
Contest info:
Prism is thrilled to announce a contest for World Card Making Day! We are hoping you can help us by creating cards that will "WOW" the world! Let your creativity run wild and show us cards for every occasion ( i.e. Birthday, Anniversary, Valentine's Day, etc.) made with Prism Papers.
REQUIREMENTS: The cards can be any size you choose. You are allowed to use tools of your choice...such as punches, die cut machines, stamps, computer printing etc. You can use generic embellishments such as ribbon, mini brads, simple rub ons etc. But if embellishments are used, they should be used in very limited amounts only to accent the card stock. We ask that each card uses Prism Cardstock only (no printed paper). Our goal is for each card to be 99% Prism Cardstock.
Card images must be emailed to prismpapers.contests@gmail.com by 11:59pm MST on June 4 th along with a product supply list. Product supply list must contain: your first and last name, phone number, and specific names of all cardstock colors used as well as any other accents used. Winners will be announced on our website www.prismpapers.com on June 11th.
The PRIZE for winning cards will be a collection of our wonderful Prismatics valued at over $100.
We hope you are as excited about this contest as we are! We can't wait to be amazed by your incredible talent!

Crystal Light On The Go
I'm cutting back on soda and this was my way to do it. So far working like a champ!
Peach Tea is my fav! The plain Lemonade one is pretty great also!
I MUST have a Tapeworm
I think I learned that phrase from Holly in college when you eat and eat and eat and are never full! That has been me for 2 days, except i haven't been feeding "Spike" <---my tapeworm's name. Today for lunch I ate an ENTIRE bag of salad - and finished and wondered where in the world it went to so quickly...and kicking myself for not buying a 2nd bag! Seriously! I NEED HELP!

I work for Dunder Mifflin
This was written a bit ago - on myspace...but I thought you'd get a kick!
For those of you that watch the TV show "The Office" you know that it's a paper company called Dunder Mifflin where crazy antics go on all day. I know that the success of the show is that people can relate. Kind of like the movice "Office Space". But NO LIE, I could write a few episodes from a day in the life at my work. The fact that I do, in fact, work for a paper company doesn't hurt much either. For example yesterday....
Yesterday was Cuatro de Mayo. Obviously not a REAL holiday, but a reason nontheless to not work on a Friday and give thanks for Mexican Independence Day. To be honest there are 2 Hispanic people in my whole building and one of them is a Temp. Which just makes me laugh that such a big deal was made. We didn't celebrate Martin Luther King Day at all!! (which is my birthday as well - so of course should be taken into a higher consideration!) Anyway - I digress.
Tres de Mayo (so the Thursday before) I was leaving a little bit late because I had a lot of work to do. When I left out the front door there were all these Red Chili's hanging from the ceiling and images of a Mariachi Band on the front door.
Then to make Cuatro de Mayo even more of a special day. Our credit manager has this notion to bring in a Donkey (okay it's a Mexican Holiday - it's a Burro) and put it in the bosses office. I swear I'm not making this up. Thanks to the ADA (americans with disabilities act) we can now, more easily get a donkey into offices. He was paraded up the ramp, through the breakroom - which I will now, never eat in again as a barnyard animal has been through there, and through the office to the bosses room. CRAZY! So they leave him in there and close the bosses door, and wait for him to be discovered. There's all this laughing and just craziness once he is found.
Of course then there is an announcement made over the paging system for everyone to come get a donkey ride in Paul's Office. Which was SUPER funny! The poor new girl that started Wednesday in our office is probably wondering what in the world she's just gotten mixed up in!
Then they bring in this really nice spread of Mexican Food (my fav!) so I'm a happy girl. Well we're all sitting down in the conference room talking, and laughing and it's a really fun event! (The Party planning committee did a really great job!) When the boss (Paul) comes in late. No lie this is how it went down. He walks in through the west door of the conference room. Parts the red chilis that were hanging down to serve as a curtain into the room. And announces, "Hey did everybody get to see my ass!?!" I literally sat there for a little while, everyone was laughing so hard they were crying - but it was a scene straight out of the Office. Totally funny!
Although my Dunder Mifflin can sometimes be crazy (yesterday and working on advertising BLEH) I really do work in a SUPER fun office. I mean really who's boss would offer a Donkey Ride on Cuatro de Mayo? Not many I tell you!
Culture A Go-Go
Friday night Melissa, myself, our friend Laurel and her baby Rachel all went downtown for the Living Culture Festival. I was a little skeptical at first, I'll be honest. We took Trax downtown and proceeded to walk maybe 5 blocks to the Library Square area where the festival was taking place. Just walking from Trax to the Square made me miss the city and how when I move again - I'm going to live downtown. I miss the city city. I hate the suburbs. I like walking places. Anyway, the festival was really fun, the music was great and Laurel's daughter is just the cutest thing ever!
Saturday was the MAIDEN VOYAGE on the new mountain bike. My friend Jen, Melissa, and I all geared up for the big trek. We live right next to the Jordan River Parkway which is this paved trail that will take you from like North Salt Lake to South Jordan (rumor has it, even Provo!) I could tell that Melissa wasn't that into the idea as she's probably my least outdoorsy friend (even though if you asked her she's the world's best camper and fire starter! haha. Holly was on that camping trip - she can vouch). We started out and had the best ride ever! We went nearly 10 miles and it was so fun! I think we've found our weekly Saturday morning event! Maybe more!
Saturday night proved to be more off. There's a guy in our church that Melissa knew from work and had to fire...which is funny all by itself. But then he's in our meetings. He was having a birthday party and printed these really elaborate invites to a party where he will be singing some of his songs. His alias is Rescue Cadence. He wasn't bad actually but it was just weird. Everyone there was from church which was a little weird too. Anyway - that's about my weekend! Sometimes it's fun to just be out and about. I'm such a homebody these days!
